Synopsis

During his time on earth Jesus preached the Good News of God’s Kingdom, healed the sick and cast out demons. He did so many miracles the world would not have enough room for the books that would be written (John 21:25). Yet only thirty-six of them are recorded in the Gospels. As all Scripture is God-breathed that would mean that the Holy Spirit, through the Gospel writers recorded them for a specific purpose. Jesus heals examines these thirty-six miracles to see what those purposes are and what they reveal about Jesus and his miracles and healings and how they apply to us today. In this book you will discover:

  • The different ways in which people came to Jesus for healing
  • The different ways in which people received their healing
  • Jesus not only heals, but restores us in all ways
  • Jesus has the power and authority to heal
  • Jesus is willing and able to heal all who come to him

Layout and Methodology

The miracles are examined in thirty-six separate chapters. Each miracle reveals different aspects of the kingdom of God and the variety of ways in which Jesus performed his healings and signs. It shows the levels of faith and the different ways with which people came to Jesus for healing, which inspires us to approach Jesus in faith for our healing today. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. As we read the Word of God, as we hear it and take it into our hearts, our souls and our bodies, it is spirit and it is life to us.

For pastors and preachers, each chapter in the book can be used as a sermon. Some miracles and healings can be put together for one talk or series of talks. The final part of the book summarises the miracles, but after looking at the miracles, you may form your own conclusions. I pray that as you read this book that like me, you will be healed even before you finish this book. If not, then keep on reading until you are healed.
